what is the part i need for my diplomat 8702 washer/dryer?

what is the part i need for my diplomat 8702 washer/dryer. there was a burning smell coming from machine. took top off and a wire has burnt out attached to a small torch battery sized part. this is the first part attached to by the lead from the plug inside the casing. e.g live, earth , neutral attached and another live, neutral and two earths coming off. What is this small part? Solenoid?

it is not noisy and works the same as always. written on it a label is what i believe a make of procond electronia possibly a serial number of 411312431 (which I cannot find on any parts search), a small diagram of a circuit, 1, 2, 3, 4 points marked and EN 133200. It is torch battery size, with the 7 connections on top and screwed to casing. As I said it is the first thing connected inside to the plug cable with connections coming off to other components. Looks like it has bubbled over like a torch battery connection when old.

sound like a noise suppressor, take it out, connect wires and if machine work leave it out,if not working it could be a starter cap sitting at a unusual place, you then have to replace it with same rating cap
