Why does my digi box signal break up on some channels?

I have a new Venturer tv and ITV1 signals is breaking up. I have a digital ariel and all the other channels seem ok.
Can anyone help?

That normally idicates aerial issues, When the digi aerial was installed was new cable used or did u connect to old cable or the aerial might not be correctly sited (was a digital test meter used on installation to find best possible signal).

The other answer is partly right, in that there is no such thing as a "digital aerial".

However is is not correct to say: "If your analoque signal was good on your ariel, your digital signal will be good."

Digital receivers are much fussier about the signal. It needs to be strong and of good quality.

First of all indoor or loft aerials often will not work with Digital Services without an amplifier. (Or indeed even with one.)

So assuming an outdoor aerial you need to get its alignment checked. If that fails you will need an amplifier, preferably of the mast-head type.

For a start, you do not have a digital ariel, they don't exist, despite what you've been told or heard. If your analoque signal was good on your ariel, your digital signal will be good. As the signal is line of sight from the transmitter to your ariel, anything that comes between the transmitter and your ariel will disrupt the signal and your picture / sound will break up, simples
