I have a Hotpoint fdw80 dishwasher. it shows al08, what does it mean?

I have a Hotpoint fdw80 dishwasher. it stops during a wash and shows al08 on the display. what does it mean?

I have the same problem ER 08 and I have changed the heating unit and no improvement! Hotpoint's reply; The error AL08 indicates that the dishwasher has timed out heating as the thermostat is detached. I would suggest that you book a service call for an engineer to assess the situation. To book a service call please contact the Service Centre on 08709066066.
I cannot find the thermostat, can anyone help please?

i think it means the heat element needs replacing. Does anyone know how to change it? I have the same problem
