indesit washer/dryer WIDL146 ?

my indesit washer/dryer WIDL146 is not finishing a programme, it fills ok but then it just keeps going round one way then the other, you have to stop it then turn the knob to spin. it dry's, rinses and spins ok any ideas to what the problem is?
