My Indesit D41 has died on me!?

Hi my Indesit D41 diswasher has just died on me. No error light combinations are shown. The cycle (any of them) starts, drains the excess water, starts filling up and then stops (when the arms usually start going). This is accompanied by a odd noise.
I don't have the cash to call the service people.
Any ideas appreciated!

It could possibly be a problem with the water pump that pumps the water from the resevoir into the spray arms. It may be jammed or dead.
We have a problem with ours in that it drains and that is it. The programme wheel moves around, but it doesn't fill or anything.
