i want to know what the problem is ?

i was using my chainsaw when the chain came off ireplaced the chain restarted the motor but the chain would not move what is the problem

Check the chain brake is not on..

Assuming it's the correct chain for the bar and sprocket, then you have probably burred the drive links that sit in the bar groove when it came off the saw. Did you test the chain on the bar was free, before you re-fitted the bar and chain to the machine?

Is the chainbrake still on?
