Why did you remove the two top plugs from the PCB board? It won't do anything if it has wiring plugs disconnected. There is no such thing as a reset magically removing the fault. It may be a faulty control board or it could be something more simple. What could possibly be a simple fault and easy to fix will rapidly turn in to something major if you play around with and stuff up the electronics. Control boards are expensive to buy. Suggest you get someone out to check & repair it properly.
