Samsung S1060 digital camera?

When I turn on the camera, the lens opens and retracts immediately. Therefore, I can not take pictures. Changing the battery does not make a difference. Any solutions?

Do you get an error message on the screen ?
One of the most common problems with compact digi cameras is dirt in the lens sections, the camera senses the lens not opening correctly so shuts it down.
Dont assume this IS the problem but its similar to mine. If you're happy to try, get a strip of paper and slip it inbetween the lens sections and swipe it round. This may dislodge the dirt.
Search the net, there's loads of fixes for this problem, some simple, some drastic which may damage your camera. Mine was fixed with a few sharp taps with the lens open, this presumably dislodged the dirt. Its worked fine since.
