I have in my toolbox an old but still very useful Black & Decker Quattro VP2000 drill. I left two batteries (which are still good) on charge for several hours without success and I am questioning the performance of the B&D Versapak VP100 charger which is the original unit supplied with the drill. Hoping someone out there can help. Thanking you in anticipation.

use a DMM (digital multi meter) to test the output from the charger, put the red test lead probe tip to positive on the battery charger,black test lead probe to neg,on charger,then using the 0-20 DC scale setting on meter, turn charger on observe meter reading with both probes touching the above mentioned setting positions
