We have just returned from a week away to find that our boiler pressure has dropped, topped this up but now only have hot water (boiler fires fine) but no heating, pressed the ! button and get code S.30, no external heating demand, changed batteries in remote room stat and re-set everything! still nothing!!! help its cold here!!

Just to check that i need to link 3 & 4 on the wiring block that the wire from the room stat receiver connects to?

no power to CH from room start make sure that all external is on to test if boiler is working without any control link 3 and 4 with wire in PCB if works problem is external, if not its divert valve
