Dimplex Horton HTN20BLK fire - fan not working?

My Dad's fire is not working when the fan heater is switched on. The elements seem to be heating up OK there is just no fan to push out the heat.

How to fix please - thanks

the elements should not glow red if the fan casing is metal it probably needs the fan lubricating if its plastic the motor is probably U.S
