More often than not the solution is to remove the aerial and then switch on the humax box. For most people this results in the box switching on and reporting that there is no signal. This will enable you to navigate the menus and action a default setting.
After actioning the default setting reattach the aerial.
You will then need to retune and also setup your favourites and schedule again. You will not loose any recordings, but you 'may' have to wait a while for the epg to fully populate again.
