My hoover p235 has started spinning faster and faster on the spin cycle and is making loud banging noises - it seems out of control and i have to press the stop button to stop the banging noises.It recently had a sock stuck in it which nearly set on fire - sock was charred and smoke was inside the drum but it seems to be working ok except for the spin cycle.
