how to fix a chain link?

i need to fix the link
anthony, October 2011
Fitting new links to a worn chain is not a wise thing to do. Not only that, unless you have a chain breaker and a rivet spinner, then you won't be able to fit a link even if a dealer is willing to sell you one. The cost of the tools alone would be vastly more than a replacement chain.

DO NOT even think about fixing it with a split link, it is a chainsaw not a bicycle chain, buy a new chain.

iam assuming your chain has snapped? you can buy a split link, to repair it with.
