Can I replace a sewing machine bobbin winder?

the top of my bobbin winder broke off (the stem that holds the empty bobbin)on my Brothers CE-5000PWR sewing machine - is this an easy fix?

If you have a machine where the body comes apart in two pieces then do not even attempt it, if you have a machine where you can take the top off then it is very easy.
