gas feed to boiler?

I have enquired about having a new combi/condensing boiler fitted. The gas fitter has told me the existing supply gas pipe is only 15mm and needs to be 22mm as the boiler will not work correctly, this will mean greater cost & disruption to rooms, floorboards etc as it is situated a long way away from the gas point. can anyone advise please ?

Makes perfect sense, If the boiler has the wrong size gas pipe it will not burn correctly and you will not get the required kilowatt output from the boiler.
