my norfrost freezer is 2 years old its kept in a garage i put the plug in the green light comes on but not the compressor could it be the thermostatits its a c6 model

has it got a super freeze button as they tend to bypass the thermostats on chest freezers.if it fires up on super freeze then it could well be a thermostat issue
