still cold water?

just changed heating element but still having cold water through on my beko dishwasher DE3431 FW

Always amazes me why people think they will save money and do it themselves but then go replacing parts with out testing the old part first to make sure they are doing the right thing. They end up paying more in the long run. Would be cheaper to get someone who knows what to check & how to fault find.
