keys not working?

my cat keeps walking on my laptop and my o, i, backspace, =, 0 and some of the numbers at the side dont work. it happened yesterday and i pressed Fn and Numlock and it started working, but now its not! im having to use an on screen keyboard to type in the missing letters!!!

how can i fix this?!

i am tempted to just buy a new one!

the cats run over the laptop if im sat on the sofa using it when theyre playing...!

Bring your laptop to your local repair shop to have them replace the keyboard. Some of the connectors are a real pain to work with and easily broken.
They have the tools, illumination and workshop magnifiers needed, you probably don't.

Next, once the repair is done:
Take the habit of folding down the screen when you are not using the computer.

Another solution is to get or make, a keyboard cover that you place on when you're not using the computer.

Both will prevent your cat from walking/sleeping on your keyboard :/
