We have a Hotpoint WD440, when the power is turned on, the light comes on for the selected cycle but when you press start nothing happens, there is no error codes that I can tell no flashing lights. Could it be the mother board. Anyone with any ideas.

1 carbon brushes worn out on motor
2 main module failure
