Water is leaking from the joint where cistern joins water in pipe?

Its the big locking wheel, cant remember name that joins cistern to the water inlet pipe.

Am having to switch of water into system after every refill and have a very wet carpet from when the leak started.

Need to know how to stop the leak as plumber wont answer his messages grrrrrrrrrrrr

isolate water to the cistern ,unscrew the conector on the outside of the cistern and in there you will find a small washer, probably perished, replace this tighten all back up .you can get a new washer from any diy store .just check that the water is from the connection and not from the solderd joint ,if its leaking from there then you will need the plumber grrrrrrrrrr.
