Reconnecting central heating radiator?

I have my radiator in one room taken off the wall to plaster. What is the sequence for reconnecting the rad without getting air locks. Which valve do I open first? Thermostatic or other side. Do I let the rad fill up before opening the other valve? Do I let the air out via the bleed valves before I open the other valve? Does pump need to be on? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

does not mater which one you open first, you need to fill pressure if your system is not open vent
