I took my wee fordson major for a drive yesterday down the road. After about 5mins the tractor locked solid in the rear end.
I stopped and put the tractor in netural and started the engine but when I selected a gear and let the clutch out the tractor died.

There is oil in the box and none of the gears are broke I checked that. The tractor cant even be towed we had to lift the rear end off the ground to get it home.

Can somebody please help

Have a look at the brake's/hand brake to see if you can take off the brake drum's/brake housing if its a super, could be a bearing gone on the rear axle's if water has been in the oil, lift up the back end to see if any play there better done with the wheel's off just lift axle up and down, if play you know bearing gone...! you can always take the top off and have a look, but you have never done it before take your time.
