how can i fix my panasonic sg-d16?

Panasonic SG-D16, turntable/tuner/dual cassette

I found this in pretty good condition at a garage sale, but without the manual. The turntable motor wouldn't play at 45 RPM when I got it but 33 RPM worked fine. Then the motor slowed further and I opened it up to take a look.

First, what do I do to fix the motor and get it working properly?
Second, how do I get the belt re-attached and the plate back on?

Hey! I'm also having trouble with my belt. Unfortunately, it didn't come with the manual when I bought it. I have tried putting the belt over the pulley. Can someone take a picture of what it's supposed to look like, just so I can get a better visual idea? Thanks!

Have the same player and can't seem to find any resistors for the record player. Just the tape decks. Any clues?

If you take the turntable out you will find two variable resistors on the pcb that the red and black wires go into. Adjusting these will controll the voltage to the motor and therefore the speed of the motor.

Replacing the turntable belt on sg-d16: My belt slipped off some months ago. I took my unit to a small repair shop only to be told by the owner that he searched high and low and could not find a replacement belt. I took the unit home, reattached the 20 year old belt, and wala, it works!

Simply strech the belt over the rim of the turntable platform, as you pull it out and let it over the pully post, placing the center post over the turntable center hole. It might take a try or two but it will go on.
