Beko WM5120W wont start!!?

Hi please can someone help me? My Beko WM5120W suddenly stopped working mid cycle and blew the fuse..I replaced the fuse and also drained the drum by taking out the filter..there was an obstruction in the propellor in the drainage pump so I cleared that but it still wont work..when I turn it on the ready and wash light come on and it starts to fill with water for 30secs then the ready light goes out and the machine just hums...tried reset etc and still no joy...if I put it on drain or spin the ready light wont come on but the spin/end light does but the machine does nothing at all..Im desperate and as Im unemployed due to illness I cant afford a repair man to come out...Im usually good with stuff like this myself but this has got me totally frustrated..HELP!

if the wm persists with the problem and the heating element has not failed, inspect the carbon motor brushes ,.remove the motor, take out the brushes and inspect for wear, should be no shorter than 10mm .

sounds like the heating element ,or a problem with the heating circuit .this would explain the machine tripping mid cycle.and the machine aborting.this is a way of ruling out the element.locate element located at the bottom of the outer drum ,the element will have two wires and a 10mm nut that secures the element to the casing .once you have identified the element ,remove the two wires and tape the wires together .make sure you use plenty of insulation tape and secure the wiring so it cannot foul or hinder moving parts. now test machine .if the machine now cycles and doesn't abort.replace the element.do not use the wm for any length of tlme ,this is mearly a test procedure.the safest way to test the element is with a multimeter if you have one .get back to us and let us know how you get on .remember safety first always unplug the appliance prior to inspection .
