washing cycle works ok, but my softener will not disperse, i have taken the drawer out and cleaned it but still not doing the job.

hi,take the drawer back out and look into the slot for the drawer on the washing machine.at the top you will see sections of small holes,this is where the water enters the dispenser draw.sometimes these holes become blocked,use a stiff nylon brush to unblock these holes.inspect the dispenser drawer again and make sure all channel holes are not blocked.if this procedure doesn't help then you will have to remove the wm top and inspect the pipe and the water valve that meters the flow of water to the softner.
