hi, the inspection cover you have removed, is a way to remove foreign objects that could be hindering the drain pumps operation.if you shine a torch down the chamber you will see the pump.the filter will be inside the blk rubber pipe leading from the bottom of the outer drum to the pump.if you are loosing water from the front of the wm then I would suggest inspecting the drum to door seal for splits and security.also inspect the door hinge and the closure of the door.it is possible that the leak is infact under the wm and water is pooling at the front,.you will have to remove the lower panel on the rear of the wm to inspect all hoses ,all the hoses will be secured with spring clips to there mounts.you may however need to remove the entire rear panel, this procedure will reveal all areas for inspection and give you plenty of room to undertake the repalr.also remove the top of the wm and inspect the feed pipe to the valve and the pipes to the dispenser drawer for splits and security ,.ensure you isolate the power to the appliance before you start your investigation .
