when its on standby with the blue light ,when you push remote to get it back on it doesnt come back on .have tried turning it off at mains .at first it came on after a few times pressing the red button on remote and now it takes longer and longer .it took all day yesterday to get it on .you just had to keep pressing button all the time.and now im afraid to turn it off incase i cant get it on again .

you will have to let a engineer take a look at it, as the problem is a internal component issue most likely be the eprom or a component on the power board.most likely be a bad soldered joint on one of the eprom pins.failing that a dry or bulged cap on the pcb.engineers charge what they want so set a limit and say iam only going to pay up to £50 for the repair,.trust me it works,in this pressent climate he will not turn down the repair.
