How can I fix the undernoted problem?

I have a diplomat dishwasher model number ADP8322. The start indicator was flashing and there was no heat from the machine. I then found that a mouse had chewed through the drain hose and the water was escaping. If I renew the drain hose is that likely to have also solved the heating problem or is that likely to be a separate problem which will still have to be dealt with. If the latter, is it likely to be a major problem?

no two separate probs,a leak in the drain hose wouldn't constitute to the heater circuit because the water is exiting the machine.start by testing the heating element and T/stat for open circuits.

If no water in m/c, it will not heat. So replacing the hose I think would solve the problem
