51 Mercedes A Class Indicator Fault?

On occasion when signalling to turn right my left indicator will flash and vice versa, I have fitted a new indicator stalk but still having the same problem, any ideas?

I'm no expert on Mercs...but try looking at the wiring for the hazard warning switch, maybe a fault there..
