2 items cause heat failure in dryers, ideally you need a meter to check for continuty in the element and stats, any of the these that are open circuit will result in the dryer not heating .NB a lot of dryer heating failure is due to turning the dryer off during the drying cycle causing an overheat if the dryer is let run its full cycle it normally has ten minutes cooling down period before it finishes
