how do i remove the front panel from a very old Dimplex XT storage heater?

I need to remove the front panel of a Dimplex XT heater. Do I need to remove the control knobs first and if so how, as they are flush with the front of the control panel.
Any help would be much appreciated.

there are 3 screws on top behind the raised top facing the ceiling they are about 30mm long,remove and pull top forward until lip clears the backplate then bend top up slightly as you pull it fully forward,the bottom of cover is located on 2 pegs
