how can I run 2 t.v.'s from 1 main aerial?

What is the best way to get both tele's working from 1 aerial? I've changed the main socket in the living room to a double, and connected an extention aerial lead from it to the second (brand new HD freeview)t.v. in the dining room. It said 'no signal'. Then I bought a signal booster, connected it up - 'no signal'. Then I bought an all singing, all dancing 'indoor booster aerial' and still it doesn't work. Should I run a lead directly from the main aerial in the loft, and through the ceiling that way? Or should I give up tele altogether and take up jogging???!!
