How can I fix my RCA MP3 Player?

How can I get the music I downloaded to show up on the MP3 Player
Tiana, January 2012
This applies to problems with software concerning trouble downloading music.
If your Mp3 player isn't showing the songs you downloaded, first check to make sure that they're formatted to a file your device plays: Mp3, WMA, etc. You can find this by simply clicking on the downloaded file and looking at it's information: artist, file size, file type (this is what your looking for). If this is not the case, your Mp3 player may need to be formatted. Every Mp3 may not be able to be formatted (some other problem I don't know about).
So follow the instructions below, and good luck:
-Take your USB cord and plug your mp3 into your computer.
-Click the start button: this can be found in the lower left corner, on the bottom of your screen.
-On the right side of the start menu is a list of storage files and places: My Documents, Control Panal, etc.
-Click on the one that says My Computer and procede to the section that says Removable Storage Devices. Your MP3 player should be in this section with some kinda icon and an identification name (can be changed).
-Hover over it with your mouse and left click it.
-A new menu should come up. You need to look on the menu and see if it says Format as a choice.
-Click format and it'll ask you one or two questions like "Are you sure you want to format" or "Do you want to continue." but DON'T CLICK YES UNTIL READING THE NEXT STEP.
-*** You should keep in mind that in doing THIS WILL ERASE ANY AND ALL EXISTING FILES ON YOUR MP3.
-If you proceded, just wait until it's finished formatting. Try to download more songs of the appropriate format and they should show up on your Mp3 when you unplug it.
-Be careful not to download any files that contain viruses. Files that come from websites with other downloads available, such as Virus Protection downloads or Free MP3 Scanning. Stay away from those b/c they're generally trying to break your MP3 and then make you pay to get it fixed.

Hopes this helps fix your MP3.
Take care friend.
