Hotpoint fault f05 on WT761?

What is this fault and what is the red plastic disc under the kick plate on the front RHS.
Thanks

The f05 fault, can be associated, with either a pressure problem.Meaning the drum is empty of water, and you cannot open the door,or the machine is not emptied the water from the drum and will not advance because of a blockage.First, check the drain hose where it connects to the house drains for a blockage.
Take the hose off and check both the hose and the connection.

If they are ok, you'll need to manually remove the water from the appliance first.

Take off the plastic cover below the front panel.
In there is the filter.
Put a towel and dish down.
Slacken the filter a little to drain the water out.
Tighten the filter when you need to empty the dish.

Once the machine is empty, take the filter out and clean out any debris in there.
Look into the filter housing and you'll see the pump impellor.
Turn this through 360 degrees with a screwdriver.
If it won't turn, there's something in there jamming it and you need to get it out.

If it's all ok, take the clothes out of the machine.
Put it on a spin only programme (no rinse).
Look into the open filter housing, i the impellor should be turning,if it doesn't the pump has faild.

The disc under the front kick panel,is the filter housing.
