The grill sparks, but does not light. After a few tries a blue flame goes across the surface then goes out.
Brushing the hundreds of holes with a wire brush does nothing.
3 screws hold a retaining plate at front of grill burner, but removing them does not allow more than a 5mm drop of grill. How do I remove it to clean?

the cooker has to know the grill is lit so it has a thermocouple that gets hot and lets the gas continue when the knob is released if it is hot enough.hope this gives you some idea
