Green light stays on and intermittent red light appears now and again. I cant find the manual. I have tried to top the water up with the black tap but i cant hear any water go through and the pressure gauge does not move.

When I switch on my Vokera boiler the pressure needle goese right to the top and the pipe out side throws lots of water out and then I have to fill it up again. Thanks.

Make sure the filling loop is connected at both ends. Some have valves at both ends, make sure you open both of them. The pressure guage is rubbish on the compact. You should see a small blue ball. When this gets above 0.6 then the boiler should work. 1.5 is normal for most boilers. If the pressure is ok and it dosnt run then you will have to include more info to diagnose it.
