Marherita 2000, Program wheel spins continously?

Hi, I have a Margherita 2000 (AL 109 X) washing machine. When I turn it on it does a couple of cycles as normal and then the program wheel just starts turning and it doesent stop. Anybody who can help me?

Ok. But where is the filter? I saw a pump or something down in the right hand corner when facing the machine , but there was nothing stuck there.

Our Marherita does the same thing - try draining and cleaning the filter then leave it turned off for the day - that should clear the problem.
