Freezer compartment not freezing consistently? Daewoo?

Daewoo fridge frieezer only 3 years old and is situated in garage
Twice recently food in freezer compartment has gone soft, ie not cold enough. Single thermostat in fridge set just below mid point. Any advice welcome. Thanks
