asda kettle XB6298 spout filter nos XB6298-10-12?

I have contacted ASDA. Morphy Richards. and various spares firms. to no avail, Asda couldnt even tell me who made the kettle for them ,they were as helpfull as they could be.

I have the same problem with exactly the same part number, but my kettle was made by and branded as Carlton. I haven't yet found the answer to the problem.
