A power surge fried my JVC VHS Super Recorder. How do I get the cassette ou?

A power surge fried my JVC Super VHS Recorder and there is no power. How do I get the cassette out?
R Moore, October 2006
make sure it is not connected to mains supply then remove case the loading motor that takes the cassette in and out of the machine is usually located at the side of cassette carriage if you turn the pulley on this motor it will unload or load the cassette depending on the direction you turn it
