keep getting pop ups saying about:blank while i am using the internet, if i leave the screen for 5 mins there are loads of about:blank screens loaded, this is doing my head in now, i can install any antivirus it just uninstalls itself, i have has some virus emails which i did open one sometime ago (didnt know it was a virus at the time) but have deleted many since....any ideas?

I had a similar thing with about:blank but it wasnt in pop ups. Mine turned out to be CWS- Cool Web Search. A google will tell you more and you can download CWS Shredder for free which claims to remove CWS. It was not possible on mine; it found it but couldnt remove it. But if you are running XP simply restore to a point before this all started; that worked for me!
