is it possible for me to replace the compressor on a samsung rsa1wtmh?

i have informed samsung of this problem and they point blank refuse to fix it, engineer they sent free of charge said it was the compressor and to replace it would cost me £270 omg!!!! can i replace this myself and any ideas how much this will cost to replace.

Not just a case of take out the old one and put in a new one. Cooling gas has to be removed and the pipes cut then rewelded to the new compressor then the gas pumped back in. Hence the need for expensive equipment such as gas valve and gauges etc.

You could if you had all the equipment to do it, About £2k worth of equipment. Plus you need training to use the equipment, about £3k. So yes you could, But cheaper to get someone to do it.
