My Hotpoint wd440p washer/dryer trips the electric out when i shut the door?

My Hotpoint wd440p washer/dryer trips the electric out when i shut the door to start the wash cycle . Whats up with it ? New brushes fitted recently?

I have found that if i disconnect the heater element in the dryer it doesn't trip the electric and starts to do a normal wash. Reconnect the dryer element and electric goes off again . So got to be the dryer element . Does this sound right ?
