Fridge not chilling food RLA54 Hotpoint?

fridge appears on light on , but no chill. Worthwhile to mend or just buy new? 5 yrs old

I had exactly the same problem and bought and fitted a new thermostat from fridgeshop.net. Had no previous experience but followed instructions and then rang for assistance. The fridge is now up and running for £20 :-)
