Roofers propane torch?

Just a warning to others... Alway check the regulators and other joints on gas equipment. I have always done so and recently changed a regulator on a bottle for a blow torch as used for hot laid felt fitting.... The existing had been damaged and leaked at joint between bottle and regulator. Bought a new one, same type of regulator, and that leaked.... they changed it and that one also leaked so checked before returning on two other cylinders and found it still leaked which means bottle fittings were not the cause. However the retailer though I was being awkward expecting too much for them not to leak or in others words as long as he could sell them he didn't give a s..t if the customer got blown up. So as I cannot prove it as he took it back and gave a refund, so cannot take it further and check the fault lies in the manufacture of the regulator. U.K Am I expecting too much ? Comments welcome.
