Help!!!!Why does my Eureka Atlantis leak all over my floor??

I have a Eureka Atlantis with Opti Heat deep cleaning extractor that I have only used twice. When I fill the clean water container and put it back into the extractor, the water leaks out from underneath and spills it's contents all over my floor. I'm wondering if I am missing a part. Does anyone have pictures of what the inside of where the clean water tank sits? Or has anyone had this problem and knows how to tell me to fix it?

Same problem almost from the beginning. All seals in place. Made sure everything was seated properly. The fact that they don't carry parts or share remedy's means they knew it was junk and we all need to walk away...not just from it but Eureka.

store told me they don't make parts for these any more. Mine does the same thing.

can I replace the valve on the clean water tank on Eureka Atlantis

It's just the suction. If you don't have everything pushed in tight so that the valves are sealed, it will leak. It makes sense. Check every single part that comes off and the tops to the tanks. Be sure they are all very tight and you won't have a problem.

Good question.. I have this piece of junk sitting on my floor doing the same thing right now. It has been used two times and has been cleaned well after each use. I'm piss*d.

I had the same problem. There is definitely a known problem with these units as evidenced by reviews on Amazon and epinions. My first unit leaked terribly after using it twice. I returned it and got a second unit. If you do not put the clean water container in just so, it does something to the valve and causes it to leak. Sometimes it goes in perfectly and sometimes it doesn't. This is unacceptable in my opinion for a unit of this price. If it's under warranty, try to see what a repair person can do and definitely tell Eureka that you are unhappy with the unit's quality. It's not you, it's a poor execution by Eureka of what could have been a great machine.
