washing machine goes fhrough all cycles until spin cycle, hear a noise but nothing happens , have emptied some water out goes alittle but then stops.

If the noise you hear is a low humming noise down low then that is the drain pump trying to turn. It may have a blockage. You can try emptying as much water out as possible by hand. Then tip machine back against wall. Locate drain pump on front right corner at bottom of outer tub. Turn the propellor by hand to see if it comes free. If not then the pump will have to be removed to clear the blockage.
