how to fit a new light switch from scratch?

want to fit lights in garage but only have power points fitted.

if you read his post again,you will see what i mean ,he not know if your wiring up to extra load,then why advise you to plug light in???it not make sence

hi mr blundell,all you need to do is take a live supply from your sockets feed,and wire it to a fused spur,then use the feed from fused spur to power your lights,make sure you fit a five amp fuse in the fused spur,its as easy as that,just make sure you turn all power off before you do any work,sd not an electrician,so he not have a clue,
