I think Bob works for a dealers of some kind. This website is called "Fixed4Free" not "Take It To A Dealers And Pay Them £10 For 5 Minutes Work" No thief would bother stealing a crappy radio cassette, it has no resale value. CD units are a different matter.

There are various radio decoding programs available on eBay for as little as 99p. You need to dismantle the dash extract the radio and note down the serial numbers. You then enter the numbers into the program and it gives you the code.

Simply No!
Nobody can supply you with a code number you have to take the vehicle and radio along with identification ie: driving licence and vehicle registration document to either a Nissan dealer or car radio supplier. Ring them first check if they can re-code it and ask what Identification they need. Put the radio back in position and let them remove it. Most outlets that supply the orginal code or re-code want to see the radio IN the car and won't do the job on a loose radio, as they consider it could be stolen. Cost! well mine cost a tenner but what it is now don't know
